Penguin Chats Prepare Voters On Campus For Election Day

With Election Day on November 3, faculty and students in the Political Science and History departments at Ā鶹AV have been hosting a series of weekly virtual ā€œPenguin Chatsā€ to help students, faculty, and staff focus on key issues.

The final ā€œPenguin Chatā€ is Wednesday, November 4, via Zoom from 4-5 p.m. It will recap the U.S. Presidential Election.

ā€œEngaging people in discussions about current events and social issues encourages political participation,ā€ says Political Science professor Alison Howard, chair of the Division of Public Affairs in the School of Liberal Arts and Education. ā€œThe department is committed to providing students with the resources they need to be active, informed, and engaged participants in their communities and with the political system.ā€
